Whats going on with Apple on September 12?

By now you must have heard all the Apple fanboys and just about every news outlet talk about Apple's event on September 12th. Well we are here to give you insight into what this event is about and what we think might happen during the event!

What's happening?

Unveiling the NEW iPhone & More!

The event taking place on September 12th is the second of Apple's two yearly launch events. Historically the second Apple event which takes place in September is dedicated to the launch of any new hardware (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods and more!) while the event held earlier in the year (WWDC - World Wide Developers Conference) focuses more on Apple's software innovations.

Do I have to be in California to watch?

Apple's rather interestingly named the event "Wonderlust", is scheduled for September 12th, 2023, at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT and will be broadcasted live from Apple Park in Cupertino, California. You can tune in to the event via Apple's website or though their youtube channel!

What could Apple launch?

iPhone 15 Series!

The all new iPhone 15 lineup might finally include the widely adopted USB-C port! Finally moving away from their own proprietary lightning port, this is one of the biggest changes to the iPhone since moving to squared off corners after iPhone 11!

New Apple Watch

Aside from getting a new version of the Apple Watch like we do every year, Apple is rumoured to also release and update to its ultra-rugged and outrageously expensive Apple Watch Ultra! Aside from getting updated internals we might be treated to a darker titanium case.

Updated AirPods

Much like the iPhones Apple might also bring the USB-C port to their AirPods Pro! followed with improvements to the internals of the AirPods and AirPods Pro, we are likely to see Apples best-selling wireless earbuds get even better with improved sound quality and battery life!

Other things that Apple is rumoured to reveal!

Apple's upcoming event is expected reveal the release dates for iOS 17 and watchOS 10, while iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma may be unveiled later in the fall, following Apple's recent October launch pattern. Beta versions of these operating systems have provided insights into new features. iOS 17 introduces StandBy mode, voicemail transcriptions, a Journal app, while macOS Sonoma includes widgets, a game mode, and Safari profiles. iPadOS 17 brings personalized lock screens, interactive widgets, the Health app, and support for external USB webcams. WatchOS 10 introduces widgets, topographic mapping features, mood logging, and new watch faces.
